About TVMC

Established in 1991 and celebrating its 31st year, the Texas Volunteer Management Conference is the leading educational event for current and emerging volunteer management professionals throughout Texas and the U.S. Throughout its history, the conference has provided an opportunity to learn from top-level speakers, trainers, and leaders who are outstanding in their fields. The conference is made possible through partnerships with the Dallas Association of Directors of Volunteers (DADV), the Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA) of Tarrant County, VolunteerNow, and OneStar. With these incredible partnership, we look forward to engaging more organizations in Texas.

Exciting new HYBRID Conference option to make this conference even more accessible and engage leaders of volunteers who work for nonprofit organizations or publicly funded agencies throughout the U.S. and around the world. The conference also welcomes anyone in the private sector responsible for engaging volunteers including program managers, executive directors, development and communications team members as well as staff in community relations and corporate social responsibility.

We understand non-profit budgets are tight and professional development doesn’t come cheap. That’s why we decided to make this full conference (one-and-a-half days of programming) available at unprecedented low prices. Attendees got the same great quality of programming, for a fraction of the price.

Conference History

The Texas Volunteer Management Conference, powered by VolunteerNow, is the leading educational event for current and emerging volunteer management professionals in Texas and throughout the world. Since 1991, TVMC has provided sessions led by top-level speakers, trainers, and experts who are leaders in their fields. TVMC was hosted virtually in 2021 and 2022. The virtual audience doubled the size of the conference from 2019’s audience of 223 to a sold out audience of 500.

Attendees representing nonprofits, hospitals, hospices, libraries, municipalities, corporations, schools, government agencies, and consultants who are passionate about working with volunteers are welcome to attend.

Conference Themes: TVMC conference themes have ranged from Building Epic Volunteer Engagement (2018) to Volunteerism: The Spirit of America (2002). In other years, the conference focus has included organizational change and capacity building, building a better community through service, networking, and celebrating volunteer management expertise.

Conference Partners: TVMC would not be made possible without the dedicated support of three organizations that year after year have provided leadership, guidance, and financial support. We are grateful to the Dallas Association of Directors of Volunteers (DADV), Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA), and VolunteerNow for their continued support.
