Jonathan Wallace
Jonathan Wallace serves as Recruitment Specialist for the American Red Cross - North Texas Region. As a Recruitment Specialist, Jonathan is responsible for recruiting volunteers from a 13 county, including the DFW area, who can help support the mission of the Red Cross, specifically by assisting in preparedness and relief operations during a time of disaster. Jonathan has ten years serving in volunteer leadership capacities & with local and national nonprofit service organizations.
Jonathan Wallace is the Youth Volunteer Corps Manager. As an AmeriCorps member with the American Red Cross – Dallas Area Chapter, Jonathan brought a network of Red Cross Clubs to schools in the Dallas area and educated various communities about disaster preparedness and safety. He managed an after school program and the City Year AmeriCorps members that carried out tutoring activities in Arkansas. Upon returning to Dallas, he has seen YVC of North Texas through its first two years, piloting a successful 2010 Summer of Service, various monthly service-learning projects, and an initial classroom-based service-learning program. Jonathan has built relationships with various colleges and universities and helped make service-learning and youth engagement a larger focus with educators and agencies.
Dhriti Pandya
Dhriti Pandya served as an AmeriCorps member, Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) Coordinator, with the YVC of North Texas program in 2010. She managed various operational aspects of the pilot Summer of Service program, including coordinating “Flashback Friday,” a reflection day of program youth volunteers. During Fall 2010, Dhriti served as the YVC facilitator for the pilot SLIC (Service-learning in the Classroom) program. As YVC coordinator, she spoke in various classrooms about service and service-learning and has extensive background interfacing with students. Dhriti is now the Grant Consultant for the Volunteer Center of North Texas. Dhriti graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Austin College.
